Day 27 | Back to Health


It was a short stomach bug, so I was back at work yesterday, and back to working out today.  I went to the circuit training class tonight.  I was okay with the weights, but when we ran laps, I had no extra gear to engage. I did not have that extra something to get me through.  I barely kept up with the rest of the class.   I’m glad I went to class, but I was a bit embarrassed because I felt like I was dogging it.  I wasn’t, I just had nothing left to give.

I blame the forced extra low calorie diet of the last few days due to the stomach bug.   For the last three days I ate about 500 calories, 500 calories and 1100 calories.  It wasn’t on purpose, my stomach simply did not want food in it.   What surprises me is how it affected my energy level two days later.

Tomorrow I will go running during lunch.  I’m hoping that I will be completely back to normal and will be able to run for at least two miles.
